In addition, the methodology used analyzes solutions adopted to preserve and promote the identity of this type of housing, as well as presents resources that should not be adopted. An emblematic example is the floating city of Manaus itself, an integral part of history, extinguished in 1967 with a ban on new construction and granted new solutions. However, the typologies adopted do not value the history, culture and memories of the houseboat. The results reveal the need for a concerted effort to protect and valorize these riverside dwellings, ensuring their integrity and contributing to the sustainability of the cultural landscape of the region. Based on these findings, it is argued that the valorization of the houseboat is esential for maintaining the sustainability and the historical and cultural identity of Manaus.<\/jats:p>\n                  <jats:p>Este estudo sobre a valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o da casa flutuante em Manaus, destaca a importancia hist\u00f3rica e cultural desse patrimonio para a cidade. Al\u00e9m disso, a metodolog\u00eda utilizada analisa solu\u00e7\u00f5es adotadas para preservar e promover a identidade deste tipo de habita\u00e7\u00e3o, bem como apresenta recursos que n\u00e3o devem ser adotados. Um exemplo emblem\u00e1tico \u00e9 a pr\u00f3pria cidade flutuante de Manaus, integrante da hist\u00f3ria, extinta em 1967 com proibi\u00e7\u00e3o de novas constru\u00e7\u00f5es e outorgada novas solu\u00e7\u00f5es. No entanto, as tipolog\u00edas, adotadas n\u00e3o valorizam a hist\u00f3ria, a cultura e as mem\u00f3rias da casa flutuante. Os resultados revelam a necessidade de um esfor\u00e7o conjunto para proteger e valorizar essas habita\u00e7\u00f5es ribeirinhas, garantindo sua integridade e contribuido para a sustentabilidade da paisagem cultural da regi\u00e3o.
