KG","issue":"1","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":["ReJNDT"],"abstract":"<jats:p>\nThis study proposes an eddy current testing (ECT) probe to detect flaws in finite thickness\n\naustenitic stainless-steel plates. In order to obtain the spatial magnetic field distribution\n\nand the detection sensitivity of the probe in different scanning directions, a 3D model of\n\nECT is simulated. The detection ability of ECT probe is verified by experiment. To detect\n\nsurface flaws and subsurface flaws, 2.0 kHz and 1.0 kHz are chosen as excitation\n\nfrequencies respectively. In addition, the pick-up signal goes through the amplification\n\ncircuit and the signal conditioning module to improve the signal-to-noise ratio. Finally,\n\nthe experimental results are compared with those from numerical simulation.
