This work examines the implementation of maritime hybrid wireless network architectures\nthat incorporate satellite, cellular, RF, and mesh networks to solve dynamic marine environment\nconnectivity hurdles. With the proposed architecture, combining multiple wireless technologies\nfacilitates seamless data interchange, low latency, and continuous connectivity between AMVs,\ncontrol centers, and other maritime assets. Simulations and field trials of the hybrid model showed\nsignificant improvement in signal coverage, bandwidth efficiency, and fault tolerance relative to\nconventional single-network systems relying on traditional rigid structures. Results emphasize the\nimportance of incorporating network redundancy and changeable routing in enhancing marine\nsystems' autonomy and operational safety. This conduct contributes to the resilient communication\ninfrastructure strategic policy development for scalable intelligent maritime autonomy systems.<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.58346\/jowua.2025.i2.006","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2025,8,7]],"date-time":"2025-08-07T07:53:31Z","timestamp":1754553211000},"page":"95-104","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":1,"title":["Adopting Hybrid Wireless Network Architectures to Support Autonomous Maritime Vehicle Operations"],"prefix":"10.58346","volume":"16","author":[{"given":"Yasvanthra","family":"Ekambaram","sequence":"first","affiliation":[]},{"given":"Manjul","family":"Tripathi","sequence":"additional","affiliation":[]}],"member":"37075","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2025,6,30]]},"container-title":["Journal of Wireless Mobile Networks, Ubiquitous Computing, and Dependable Applications"],"original-title":[],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2025,8,7]],"date-time":"2025-08-07T07:53:31Z","timestamp":1754553211000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/jowua.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/2025.I2.006.pdf"}},"subtitle":[],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2025,6,30]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"2","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2025,6,30]]},"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2025,6,30]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.58346\/jowua.2025.i2.006","relation":{},"ISSN":["2093-5374","2093-5382"],"issn-type":[{"value":"2093-5374","type":"print"},{"value":"2093-5382","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2025,6,30]]}}}
