Dentre esses paradigmas, a eugenia, teoria forjada por Francis Galton, angariou seguidores de diversas \u00e1reas, alguns com pap\u00e9is pol\u00edticos de destaque. Neste artigo analisa-se a difus\u00e3o do ide\u00e1rio eug\u00eanico em debates travados no contexto do poder legislativo, durante a Assembleia Nacional Constituinte, entre 1933 e 1934. As fontes de pesquisa foram os Annaes da Assembl\u00e9a Nacional Constituinte, publicados pela Imprensa Nacional no Brasil.
