In this context, the main purpose of this research is to analyze the effects of burnout dimensions and work motivation on affective job satisfaction. The sample of this study consisted of 234 Portuguese participants who, through Google Forms, completed a questionnaire with several psychological scales. Of the participants, 92.3% were female. The average age was 39.15 years (SD = 8.22, ranging from 22to 66 years). Significant relationships were found between work motivation dimensions and burnout in relation to affective job satisfaction. The main predictors of emotional job satisfaction were demotivation, emotional exhaustion, and depersonalization.
