Partindo do modelo epistemol\u00f3gico de Gilles Deleuze e F\u00e9lix Guattari, advogar-se-\u00e1 um novo paradigma, explicando-se o que existe de novo e original numa hist\u00f3ria global assim perspectivada, ponderando as virtudes e os limites que essa abordagem comporta. T\u00eam-se registado no \u00faltimo quarto de s\u00e9culo, por todo o mundo, transforma\u00e7\u00f5es muito decisivas ao n\u00edvel socioecon\u00f4mico, cultural e pol\u00edtico. Essa atmosfera de mudan\u00e7as, muitas das quais ineg\u00e1veis avan\u00e7os para o bem-estar da sociedade contempor\u00e2nea, como a automa\u00e7\u00e3o, a revolu\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica, e o crescimento exponencial e irrevers\u00edvel do mundo virtual, lan\u00e7ou novos reptos aos quais algumas ci\u00eancias sociais e humanas ainda n\u00e3o conseguiram dar uma resposta cabal. Neste quadro de superfluidade, os instrumentos convencionais de pesquisa, de reflex\u00e3o e de an\u00e1lise no \u00e2mbito da hist\u00f3ria, ou melhor, de produ\u00e7\u00e3o de conhecimento hist\u00f3rico, t\u00eam vindo a ser afinados e em alguns casos substitu\u00eddos.
