This growing reliance introduces an attack surface that traditional information-security controls and traditional model-risk-management (MRM) programs were never designed to address in combination. Adversarial perturbations, training-data poisoning, model extraction, membership inference, and prompt injection against large language models (LLMs) sit alongside conventional operational-risk concerns such as model drift, overfitting, and inadequate validation. This paper proposes an integrated framework, termed AI Security and Model Risk Governance (AI-SMRG), that fuses cybersecurity engineering with prudential model-risk practice into a single, continuously monitored discipline rather than two parallel compliance exercises.....<\/jats:p>","DOI":"10.66838\/sauc.6499","type":"journal-article","created":{"date-parts":[[2026,10,5]],"date-time":"2026-10-05T08:51:44Z","timestamp":1791190304000},"page":"18-29","source":"Crossref","is-referenced-by-count":0,"title":["AI SECURITY AND MODEL RISK GOVERNANCE"],"prefix":"10.66838","volume":"12","author":[{"family":"Rizwana Sindhavani","sequence":"first","affiliation":[],"role":[{"vocabulary":"crossref","role":"author"}]}],"member":"56529","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2026,10,5]]},"container-title":["Street Art & Urban Creativity"],"original-title":[],"link":[{"URL":"https:\/\/visualcompublications.es\/SAUC\/article\/download\/6499\/4841","content-type":"application\/pdf","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"text-mining"},{"URL":"https:\/\/visualcompublications.es\/SAUC\/article\/download\/6499\/4841","content-type":"unspecified","content-version":"vor","intended-application":"similarity-checking"}],"deposited":{"date-parts":[[2026,10,5]],"date-time":"2026-10-05T08:51:45Z","timestamp":1791190305000},"score":1,"resource":{"primary":{"URL":"https:\/\/visualcompublications.es\/SAUC\/article\/view\/6499"}},"subtitle":["A FRAMEWORK FOR MANAGING CYBER RISKS IN FINANCIAL AI SYSTEMS"],"short-title":[],"issued":{"date-parts":[[2026,10,5]]},"references-count":0,"journal-issue":{"issue":"5s","published-online":{"date-parts":[[2026,10,31]]}},"URL":"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.66838\/sauc.6499","relation":{},"ISSN":["2183-9956"],"issn-type":[{"value":"2183-9956","type":"electronic"}],"subject":[],"published":{"date-parts":[[2026,10,5]]}}}
