{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,3,25]],"date-time":"2026-03-25T03:51:32Z","timestamp":1774410692719,"version":"3.50.1"},"reference-count":0,"publisher":"ECMS","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":[],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2025,6,24]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>Because of the increasing complexity of energy systems\nand their interconnectedness with other urban and industrial\ninfrastructures, simulation is essential for their design\nand optimized operation. We present i7-AnyEnergy as a\nstand-alone simulation framework that enables rapid modelling\nand simulation of the entire system. It combines\nconcepts from software engineering, agent-based and distributed\nsimulation, and cellular energy systems. Key\nconcepts include the abstraction of energy, information,\nand other commodity flows, as well as a component-based\ndesign with an interface and filter concept that avoids\nexplicit navigation through the model structure. This enables\nthe development of cellular energy systems with\nhierarchical and neighbourhood relationships. Local load\ncompensation at all levels is available as an integrated\nmechanism, but can be replaced by any other centralized,\ndecentralized or mixed control strategy.
