The load and speed are greatly increased to the\ninitial state. Comfort-enhancing electronic systems have\nalso become commonplace and are used by all vehicles.\nAs a result of these modifications, the operating conditions\nare deviating from those experienced so far and new\nfailure modes have emerged. New calculation procedures\nand methods need to be developed due to the differences\nin lifetime and failure behaviour. With calculations and\nsimulation models, we are able to give a more accurate\nestimate of lifetime.
