{"status":"ok","message-type":"work","message-version":"1.0.0","message":{"indexed":{"date-parts":[[2026,6,30]],"date-time":"2026-06-30T19:03:53Z","timestamp":1782846233648,"version":"3.54.5"},"reference-count":0,"publisher":"ECMS","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":[],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2026,6,23]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>This paper presents a comparative analysis of performance between two fundamentally different computing architectures: Apple M4 Pro with unified memory and Intel i5-8600K paired with an NVIDIA RTX 3070 discrete GPU.\n\nWe evaluate both memory-bound (XOR) and compute-bound (AES-256-CTR) cryptography algorithms across sequential, OpenMP, Metal, and CUDA implementations.\n\nOur results reveal that the M4 Pro outperforms the Intel platform in most tasks, though the discrete GPU achieves faster XOR.
