Using a qualitative methodology based on secondary data \nincluding scholarly literature, institutional reports and global policy frameworks, the \nresearch is anchored on the Climate Governance Theory, which emphasizes the \ninterdependence of nations in addressing trans-boundary environmental issues. The \nanalysis explores how international agreements, climate financing mechanisms, and \nregional cooperation contribute to mitigation and adaptation efforts. Findings indicate \nthat although global frameworks have fostered collaboration, challenges such as weak \nenforcement, inadequate funding for developing nations, and inequitable \nresponsibility-sharing hinder their effectiveness. The study recommends enhancing \nenforcement mechanisms, scaling up equitable climate finance, promoting public\nprivate innovation partnerships, and improving transparency and accountability within \ngovernance institutions.
