In children with acute leukemia, an impaired immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibody response to poliovirus was documented previously. It was of interest, therefore, to determine the immunoclass of antibodies produced against the O antigens of bacteria causing bacteremia in patients with leukemia and other malignancies. For control purposes, parallel studies were carried out in patients without maligancies but with infections caused by gram-negative bacteria. The patients with malignancies were adults, and those without malignancies were children. The serum specimens were selected from patients mounting an antibody response. IgG and IgM antibodies were identified by mercaptoethanol reduction and chromatography. Antibody titers against the O antigens of enteric bacteria were determined by the hemagglutination procedure. Antibodies of both IgM and IgG immunoclasses were produced by all but 1 of 16 patients with leukemia and by all but 1 of 12 subjects with other malignancies. Thus, a specific IgM immune deficiency in adult patients with leukemia or other malignancies complicated by bacteremia was not present; however, the magnitude of the antibody response of the patient with leukemia was less than that of the subjets with other maligancies, with the median antibody titers of the former being 320 and those of the latter being The study, based on the material of dialectal speech recordings made in the 2008 and 2009 (nine speakers born in 1914\u20131940, total duration \u2014 19 hours), reveals that the prosodic system of these dialects is relatively similar to that one of the Modern Standard Russian, sharing with it most pitch accents (L*, H*+L, L*+H) and association of tonal structures with the basic communicative categories \u2014 statements, yes-no questions, wh-question, non-finality, commands and requests. The main distinctive properties of the Vladimir dialect as compared to Standard Russian are: 1) phonological distinction between two rising pitch accents \u2014 L*+H and L+H*; 2) probable H* pitch accents in dialects with akan\u2019je; 3) \u201cfalling set-up\u201d on pretonic syllable for rising pitch accents; 4) earlier timing of rising L*+H and falling H*+L pitch accents; 5) phonological distinction between two initial boundary tones \u2014 %L and %H; 6) the wide distribution of falling final boundary tone HL%; 7) some traces of \u2018word-to-word\u2019 tonal prominence. Both methods resulted in a similar decrease in plasma K concentration and similar ECG changes although K was withdrawn from the cells during dialysis while it entered the cells during glucose-insulin infusion. The maximal plasma K decrease occurred after two hours of dialysis or glucose-insulin infusion; administration of glucose-insulin after dialysis resulted in no further plasma potassium decrease. However, dialysis after glucose-insulin infusion caused further lowering of plasma potassium. The ECG changes were evaluated in relation to changes in plasma K concentration. The most consistent effects of hypopotassemia were in decreasing order: increased duration of the QRS complex, increased duration of the QT\n            <jats:sub>c<\/jats:sub>\n            interval and increase in amplitude of the P wave. Correlation coefficients (R) between these ECG changes and the plasma K decreases were of the order -0.48 to -0.54. The experiments were carried out in subsonic wind tunnels at low Reynolds numbers. A fluffy thread was used to simulate a turbulent wake in the flow. The flow patterns on the surface of the wings were obtained before and after the impact of the turbulent wake at various angles of attack, wing sweep angles and free-stream velocity values. It was found that the wake has a significant effect on flow separation and on vortex structures arising above the wings. The evolution of the vortex flow patterns in the areas of separation of the boundary layer and with a change in the flow regime is a lot of destruction. Due to flood not only loss of human life and misery of millions of people occur, but tremendous damages occur in public and private property.\u00a0 It cannot be stopped, but can be managed to save the lives and property of the people. To manage a flood, there are two solutions, physical and logical. In physical solutions, different physical constructions are made to manage flood like levee, channel improvement, flood ways, and widening of barrages, but these control works have many deficiencies. In logical solutions, models and techniques are developed to manage the flood, however, these systems also have some deficiencies. To overcome the deficiencies in the existing models, we focus on to develop a flood management model consisting of an off-river reservoir and diverted canals having regulators. Reservoirs are most effective water storage that smooth down extreme inflow.\u00a0 The optimal operations of reservoirs determine the release and accumulation of water over time. For effective operative decision, operating rules will be defined in Z-Specification.
