Un \"VES\" est une relation intime dans laquelle les partenaires maintiennent domiciles s\u00e9par\u00e9es. Cette \u00e9tude a examin\u00e9 les types de soins pour les couples VES plus \u00e2g\u00e9s et \u00e0 long terme, et a d\u00e9voil\u00e9 des commentaires personnels au sujet des soins pour ces couples. Nous avons interrog\u00e9 25 VES partenaires et aussi avons interrog\u00e9 un groupe de comparaison de 17 personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es qui se sont remari\u00e9es dans les Pays-Bas, \u00e0 travers une \u00e9tude ancillaire \u00e0 la Panel Study Pays-Bas parent\u00e9 (PSP-BP). Les r\u00e9sultats ont r\u00e9vel\u00e9 qu\u2019environ la moiti\u00e9 de ces partenaires VES a l\u2019intention d\u2019 \u00e9changer des soins si n\u00e9cessaire (engagement du partenariat); l\u2019autre moiti\u00e9 a \u00e9prouv\u00e9 des sentiments ambigus, ou avait l\u2019intention de refuser des soins (l\u2019orientation ind\u00e9pendante). Toutefois, pour les partenaires VES d\u00e9j\u00e0 confront\u00e9s aux maladies dans leur relation actuelle, tous ont soign\u00e9 partenaires dans leur besoin.
