GIS continues to grow in various industries and government entities since it is able to best streamline copious amounts of geospatial information. Following suit, County Assessor Offices throughout the country have benefited from the use of a GIS to organize their data. The cost, implementation and maintenance of a GIS is a costly endeavor however it benefits both the County, State and the general public. County Assessor Office GIS systems have directly influenced the field of Land Surveying both positively and negatively. Now that the general public can go online in many counties to view their property, many feel that there is no need for a Land Survey despite the disclaimers attached to the County\u2019s maps regarding accuracy. As this study shows, the accuracy of GIS parcel mapping is not as accurate as many may think. DI PPK-STPN was established in 1996 in Yogyakarta with the aim to meet the needs of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant in Adjudication Program. Previously, in Indonesia, the candidate of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant was educated through the short course program. The method is descriptive, informative, which describes ability and competence owned by alumni of Diploma I PPK-STPN. Identification of the number of alumni of Diploma I PPK-STPN can describe the number of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant of Indonesia. By looking at the number of alumni of Diploma I PPK-STPN, we can see the level of adequacy of the needs of Cadastral Surveyor Assistant in the acceleration program of land registration in Indonesia. The dissertation aimed to improve cadastral mapping using unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) photogrammetry. The aim was to evaluate the accuracy of cadastral data concerning land boundaries and to develop an automated approach for delineating these boundaries. The data captured by UAVs was analyzed to identify discrepancies between physical (visible) and formal (cadastral) land boundaries. The process includes boundary detection, geo-referencing, evaluation of up-to-dateness, and vectorization of the predicted boundary maps. Initially, image processing methods were tested for automatic detection. Subsequently, deep learning methods were used to improve the detection process using UAV data. Manual delineations were also carried out to validate and assess the accuracy of the automated detections. Different approaches and methods were tested in case studies, especially in rural areas where visible land boundaries are more common. Although primarily tested with drones, it can also be adapted to satellite or aerial imagery and provides a cost-effective way to detect and revise cadastral maps. Cartogr."],"abstract":"<jats:p>Typically, the modernization of Land Administration Systems (LAS) concentrates on overarching aspects and seldom investigates the spatial infrastructure that underpins it, thereby presenting challenges for the integration of geospatial data. For this purpose, Discrete Global Grid Systems (DGGS), characterized by its \"congruent cartography\", offer a promising solution within a multi-scale reference framework. Moreover, a significant gap exists in the absence of a DGGS designed to address the cartographic focus and usability requirements for land administration, such as equal-area sizing and geodetic precision. Developed at the Aeronautics Institute of Technology (ITA), the ITA Cadastral Ellipsoidal Reference Tessellation (ITACaRT) was introduced as an innovative DGGS to bridge this gap. The development of ITACaRT was guided by several key criteria, including its suitability for cadastral purposes at appropriate scales, compatibility with the WGS84 ellipsoid and Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), utilization of simple parallelogram-shaped equal-area cells, a direct tessellation adhering to Cartesian geometry for usability by geoinformation professionals, and decimal convergence to facilitate blockchain tokenization. Complementary to these criteria, a Compositional Hierarchical Indexing system was devised to represent cadastral vector features more efficiently than the atomic identifiers typical of conventional DGGS.
