unique cultural region which represents significant interest for tourism. This study identifies and cartographically visualizes spatial variations in traditional folk crafts, taking into account the ethnogenetic characteristics of the territory. The research results demonstrate that folk crafts and handicrafts have been predominantly preserved in mountainous and highland areas. Jewelry-making has flourished for centuries in the mountainous districts of Dagestan (Laksky, Khunzakhsky, Dakhadayevsky, etc.), as well as in the Nazranovsky district of Ingushetia. Hand-woven carpet production persists mainly in the south-east part of the study area (Dokuzparinsky, Akhtynsky, Kurakhsky and other districts of Dagestan). Artisans specializing in felt products can only be found in a few districts of Chechnya (Vedensky, Nozhay-Yurtovsky, Shalinsky), Ingushetia (Malgobeksky), and Dagestan (Nogaysky, Botlikhsky). Analysis of the distribution of folk crafts in relation to ethnogenetic regional types of the North-East Caucasus revealed that homogeneous or adjacent districts are characterized by similar crafts and handicrafts. Mountainous areas preserving folk art and traditional crafts hold potential as centers for developing various forms of ecotourism, which would positively impact local employment. It emerged from a cultural and social landscape that was despoiled by poor design standards and increasingly mechanized and industrialized systems of manufacture. At its heart, it was a movement that aimed to change how and why art was made. In varying ways, it espoused collaboration between designers and craftspeople, instating joy in labor, working within the limitations of a medium, respecting materials, embedding artmaking in everyday life, and producing useful and beautiful objects for the many, not the few. Those making and writing on art in the wake of this movement have tended, broadly, to reflect on the Arts and Crafts movement as a historical development defined by its noble ideals, even if these were often idealistic and unfeasible. For many, the value of these ideals lies in their persistent relevance. Particularly in the twenty-first century, the writings of William Morris or the furniture of Ernest Gimson, for instance, appear prescient in the ways they encourage us to challenge a neoliberal capitalist world of corporate greed, environmental destruction, sweated labor, mass production, and planned obsolescence. The Arts and Crafts movement is a vast topic on which there is a wealth of scholarly literature. The first flowering of Arts and Crafts movement scholarship occurred between the early 1970s and late 1990s. Leading experts in the field\u2014Annette Carruthers, Margot Coatts, Alan Crawford, Mary Greensted, Tanya Harrod, Linda Parry and Peter Stansky\u2014focused on the Arts and Crafts movement in Britain and its major themes, players, and organizations. In the 2000s, a new wave of scholarship established the Arts and Crafts movement as an international phenomenon, which spread and arose independently across much of northern and eastern Europe, the United States, and Japan. This was led by Rosalind P. Blakesley, Wendy Kaplan, Karen Livingstone, and Linda Parry. More recently, Glenn Adamson, Julia Griffin, Imogen Hart, Anna Mason, Zo\u00eb Thomas, and others have broadened the critical scope of Arts and Crafts movement scholarship. Their work addresses questions of gender, materiality, craft status, canonicity, and El sanatlar\u0131 malzeme ve teknik y\u00f6n\u00fcnden geleneksel y\u00f6ntemlerin kullan\u0131larak \u00fcretildi\u011fi ve ait oldu\u011fu toplumun geleneksel k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fc yans\u0131tan \u00f6nemli \u00fcr\u00fcnlerdir. Bu ama\u00e7 do\u011frultusunda makaleler, kitaplar, tezler ve g\u00f6rsel veriler incelenmi\u015f ve artistik el sanatlar\u0131 ve geleneksel el sanatlar\u0131 aras\u0131nda ba\u011flam \u00f6rneklerle belirtilmi\u015ftir.Turkish handicrafts, which takes its source from the thousands of years of human experience, has taken its place in a dynamic of change by keeping up with the modern age over time. Handicrafts, which are an important source of cultural heritage and  have been shaped in the society it belongs to, have reached today as a traditional cultural product and as a touristic product, today it constitutes an important income area. The Anatolia\u2019n lands in the past continue their cultural heritage function apart from their economic function. Artifical dolls, traditional headdresses, felt making, basketry, leather work, wood and woodworking, jewelry, lace and needlework, which are among the handicrafts of the traditional culture, reflect the artisticand cultural characteristics of the society they belong to.\r\nIn the study, artsitic handicarfts produced with industrialization and popular culture, which are the returns of the modern age, and traditional handicrafts that are subject to extinction day by day in terms of cultural history are discussed. Critics denounced the degrading conditions that labor endured as well as the shoddy quality of goods flooding the market. Calling for a revival of handicraft, the movement\u2019s leaders argued that handcrafted wares were morally superior because of the way they were created and also more beautiful. Inspired by the Middle Ages, Arts and Crafts architects embraced the Gothic revival, joining craftsmen, often in guilds, to ornament and furnish churches, houses, and other buildings. Over time, leaders in the movement encouraged revivals of national and regional traditions, the use of local materials, and simple designs. Preservation of historic buildings also was championed. The Arts and Crafts movement has spawned hundreds of books, some academic and many directed to the popular market. To confuse matters for the serious researcher, more than a few coffee table books have been written by experts and should be consulted. Another challenge is the fact that many publications on the Arts and Crafts movement integrate studies of architecture, interior design, and the decorative arts. These studies are worth exploring as many Arts and Crafts architects were engaged in many manifestations of design, ranging from tile and stained glass to pottery and printing. Yet another challenge is the lack of clarity about what is considered Arts and Crafts architecture. The views promulgated by England\u2019s William Morris and his circle form an accepted basis for the movement. Its flowering in Great Britain is central to the literature, while the transmission of Arts and Crafts ideas to the United States has long been recognized. The influence of Arts and Crafts concepts to movements on the Continent, such as the Viennese Secession and Art Nouveau, is examined in some studies; however, architectural historians usually treat these developments as distinctive and do not position them directly under the Arts and Crafts umbrella. Most authors on American Arts and Crafts architecture have examined particular regions and specific architects. Others have written about various Arts and Crafts styles that took hold at the turn of the 20th century.
