Sober realism has replaced euphoria and a seemingly fragmented and minute sub-set of the hydraulics industry remains. However, this fragmentation reflects several clearly definable sectors within water hydraulics; each sector delimited by its respective pressure range and applications areas. In each area solid progress is being made. One such field of development and the subject of this paper is that of ultra low-pressure hydraulics. Borne out of the realization that the vast majority of applications in the process industries such as food and pharmaceuticals, which were targeted by the “new water hydraulics”, have effective installed power values of less than 50 Watts, it is the most recent addition to the water family. Despite its youth ULP water hydraulics is already capable of furnishing uncompromising “single string” solutions when replacing oil, air and electrics in these industries.</div>
[[2010,10,6
["Ultra Low Pressure Water Hydraulics: High-Tech Plumbing - Low-Tech Hydraulics?
[[2000,9,11
[[2000,9,11
["SAE Technical Paper Series
[[2025,10,5
https://saemobilus.sae.org/papers/ultra-low-pressure-water-hydraulics-high-tech-plumbing-low-tech-hydraulics-2000-01-2615
[[2000,9,11
["0148-7191","2688-3627
[[2000,9,11
[[2025,10,1
<div class="htmlview paragraph">Aircraft hydraulic systems have progressed from simple to complex, reliable systems, and in the future, with the Mach 3 aircraft, will be called upon to perform even more tasks. Combining the intelligence of the microcomputer with the muscle of hydraulics has now greatly enhanced the creativeness of mobile equipment design. Significant strides have already been made with hydraulic excavator applications. Additional excavator advancements are in progress with a number of lattice boom and hydraulic crane developments soon to be accomplished. These current and proposed applications provide the basis for the topic of discussion.</div>
[[2010,10,20
["Intelligent Mobile Hydraulics - The logical Progression
[[1982,2,1
[[1982,4,19
["SAE Technical Paper Series
[[2025,10,2
[[1982,2,1
["0148-7191","2688-3627
[[1982,2,1
