The  biological  diversity  and  richness  of  mountain  ecosystems  are determined by the diversity of landscapes, significant elevation differences and pronounced belt, as well as the different exposure of slopes. For several kilometers vertically, almost all natural and climatic zones can be observed, from deserts to mountain tundra and permafrost zones. In addition, mountain ranges play a key role in the hydrographic system of the surrounding landscapes, since most of the reservoirs of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, in particular, belong to the glacial type of nutrition. Thus, mountains play a crucial role in human well-being and existence in the arid regions of Central Asia and Kazakhstan.Such  important mountain  ranges  include  the  Western  Tien  Shan,  located  on  the  territory  of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The Western Tien Shan plays a key role in maintaining ecological balance in the region, and its nearby foothill territories are among the most densely populated in the world. It is worth noting that it is listed in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves and the UNESCO list of transboundary Natural World Heritage Sites. At the same time, a serious shortage of arable land and fresh water for irrigation poses a threat to the conservation of the biodiversity of the Western Tien Shan and problems for the development of the region as a whole. The densely populated surrounding areas imply the active use of water sources, the withdrawal of virgin lands and natural pastures for agricultural crops and livestock grazing creates significant risks for the unique biological diversity of this mountain range.The study of the current state of the most dangerous parasitic diseases of ungulates, the quantitative and qualitative composition of the parasitic fauna, the ecological patterns of interaction between helminth populations and hosts: seasonal sex and age distribution, distribution of the host population, interspecific and  intraspecific  relations is  of  great  theoretical,  scientific,  practical  and  economic  importance.
