KG","issue":"01","content-domain":{"domain":[],"crossmark-restriction":false},"short-container-title":["ASU"],"published-print":{"date-parts":[[2023,1,4]]},"abstract":"<jats:p>Maintaining the employability of employees: gradual reintegration in a large German chemical company Objectives: Gradual reintegration is a measure in the return-to-work process and is part of the occupational health management at BASF SE, which is the responsibility of Corporate Health Management. This article aims to describe the gradual reintegration of employees of BASF SE in Ludwigshafen in the years 2016 to 2021. Methods: Data on the start and end of the gradual reintegration, the results of reintegration and the duration of previous incapacity for work, including relevant diagnoses, was entered into the electronic patient file (AMEDIS) by the responsible occupational physicians and supplemented by information on age, gender, working time system and occupational group as well as occupational health screening data on smoking status, weight and height. Results: From 2016 to 2021, 3260 gradual reintegrations were carried out on 2826 people at BASF SE\u2019s main site in Ludwigshafen. The participants were on average 49 years old and 18 % were female. More than 90 % of the reintegrations were successfully completed (with or without health restrictions). Ill-health retirement was required for less than 1 % (n = 11). Participants were unable to work for 137 days (median; IQR: 92\u2013218) prior to the start of reintegration. The most common diagnosis groups were mental and behavioural disorders and diseases of the musculoskeletal system, followed by cardiovascular diseases, injuries and cases of poisoning. A successful gradual reintegration took a median of 27 days (IQR: 23\u201340) to complete. Conclusions: Gradual reintegration is well established as a successful tool for maintaining employability after prolonged incapacity for work. Occupational physicians bring their knowledge of the jobs and the organisational structure within the company and are thus able to shape the gradual reintegration individually and according to requirements. In con\u00adtrast Cs<jats:sub>4<\/jats:sub>Ge<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>Se<jats:sub>8<\/jats:sub> contains the novel dinuclear anion [Ge<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub>Se<jats:sub>8<\/jats:sub>]<jats:sup>4-<\/jats:sup>, the first example of a selenidogermanate(IV) exhibiting Se<jats:sub>2<\/jats:sub> bridging units. Advanced research on IDS applies the concept of Transfer Learning (TL) to compensate the scarcity of labeled instances of zero-day attacks by making use of abundant labeled instances present in related domain(s). This paper explores the potential of Inductive and Transductive transfer learning for detecting zero-day attacks experimentally, where inductive TL deals with the presence of minimal labeled instances in the target domain and transductive TL deals with the complete absence of labeled instances in the target domain. The concept of domain adaptation with manifold alignment (DAMA) is applied in inductive TL where the variant of DAMA is proposed to handle transductive TL due to non-availability of labeled instances. Providing an uninterrupted service is of prime importance .The amount of data along with enormous number of residual traces is increasing rapidly and significantly. As a result, analysis of log data has profoundly influenced many aspects of researcher\u2019s domains. Social media being integral part of the Internet, real time blogging services like Twitter are widely used due to their inherent nature of depicting social graph, propagating information and entire social dynamics. Content of tweets are of major interest to researchers as they reflect individuals experiences, real time events. Researchers have explored several applications of tweet analysis. One such application is detecting service outages through a myriad of messages posted by users regarding unavailability. Simple techniques are enough to extract key semantics from tweets as they are faster alerts for warning about service unavailability. Similarly, the outage mailing lists are text-based messages which are rich in semantic information about the underlying outages. Researchers find it a great challenge to automatically parse and process the data through NLP and text mining for service outage detection. An extensive study was conducted, aiming to explore the research directions and opportunities on log analysis, tweet analysis and outage mailing list analysis for the purpose of detecting and predicting service outages. A systematic- frame work is also articulated with a focus on all stages of analytics and we deliberately discussed potential research challenges &amp; paths in the above said analysis. We introduce three major data analysis methods for diagnosing the causes of service failures , detecting service failures prematurely and predicting them. We analyze Syslogs (contain log data generated by the system) for detecting the cause of a failure by automatically learning over millions of logs and analyze the data of a social networking service (namely, Twitter and outage mails) to detect possible service failures by extracting failure related tweets, which account for less than a percent of all tweet in real time with high accuracy. Paper is an effort not only to detect outages but also to forecast them using twitter analysis based on time series and neural network models. All commuting accidents where employees sought examination at one of the occupational medical clinics were included in the current analysis. Data on the time, circumstances, and severity of accidents were collected from which further information on the mode of transport and cause of the accident was extracted. Accident rates were calculated per 1,000 person-years (PY). Trends in the accident data were analyzed using Joinpoint regression models.\nResults: The cohort consisted of 70,786 individuals with 940,354.5 PY observed, and 4,429 commuting accidents (4.5 per 1,000 PY). A u-shaped trend in commuting accidents was identified over the follow-up period, with a significant decline during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Higher rates were noted among individuals under 30 and women. January and Mondays were identified as the most accident-prone times. Most commuting accidents occurred on the way to work for both day and shift workers. The most common modes of transport involved in commuting accidents were bicycles (48.2 %) and pedestrians (25.2 %). Collisions (20.0 %) and weather-related issues (18.2 %) were the leading causes of commuting accidents. In 28.2 % of the cases, further medical treatment was required, and 1.8 % resulted in hospitalization.\nConclusions: This analysis provides insights into trends, risk groups, and causes of commuting accidents. Idalia Valerio, de establecer un proceso de investigaci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica importante dentro de la universidad pensando, especialmente en un principio fundamental de que una universidad sin investigaci\u00f3n no es una universidad conceptualmente hablando. Aunque la formaci\u00f3n de profesionales de calidad siempre ha sido la meta desde su formaci\u00f3n como Escuela de Ciencias M\u00e9dicas, le faltaba la investigaci\u00f3n, sello indiscutible de calidad acad\u00e9mica. Pues bien, ah\u00ed comenzamos la Dra. Valerio y yo, delantales a la cintura, manos en lavatorio a preparar tubos, placas de Petri, l\u00e1minas, cubreobjetos, etc., para empezar a producir alg\u00fan tipo de investigaci\u00f3n en la UCIMED. En esos momentos, debo confesarlo, fue bastante duro el inicio puesto que inclusive la Junta Administrativa de la \u00e9poca en que se inici\u00f3 este proceso, obviamente no se cre\u00eda mucho en el modelo de hacer investigaci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica en la UCIMED; inclusive, por qu\u00e9 no decirlo, hasta se sugiri\u00f3 que lo que est\u00e1bamos intentando ten\u00eda algo de diversi\u00f3n.\u00a0\r\nA pesar de todo comenzamos aproximadamente antes del 2000 en conjunto con la Universidad de Costa Rica y espec\u00edficamente con el Dr. Gustavo Guti\u00e9rrez que ten\u00eda un proyecto relacionado con un estudio gen\u00e9tico en monos de este pa\u00eds.
