Project Euclid has announced that it will host a new, open access, digital journal from the Institute of Mathematical Statistics: Probability Surveys, with UC Berkeley&#39;s David Aldous as editor. Probability Surveys is a peer-reviewed e-journal which publishes survey articles in theoretical and applied probability. \n Netflix categorises\n The OA<\/italic>\n generically as 'Sci Fi', 'Mystery', 'Thriller' and 'Drama' while IMDb classifies the series as 'Drama, Fantasy, Mystery', only partly intersecting with Netflix's categorisation.\n The OA<\/italic>\n is close, as is discussed, to the work of science fiction writer Philip K. Dick. It recalls too Grant Morrison's Vertigo comic book series\n The Invisibles<\/italic>\n , itself influenced by Dick, which displays similar themes, and also the Wachowskis\u2019 1999 film\n The Matrix<\/italic>\n and its two sequels (2003), which in turn show an influence from Morrison. Like these works,\n The OA<\/italic>\n can be described as a\n gnostic<\/italic>\n text, that is, one which is concerned with the acquisition of spiritual knowledge which leads to an understanding of reality's true nature. This is an aspect of another Netflix series,\n Sense8<\/italic>\n co-created by the Wachowskis with J.
